A cylindrical log of soft pasteurised cheese with white mould coat and distinctive flavour. Manufactured from goat’s milk.

Coat: Thin white mould fine and airy. Pale and creamy white in colour. Smooth texture with no airholes. Clean and mild at beginning of shelf life. Tasty and strong goat flavour towards end of life. Fine and softening/sticky with age chalky when young.

The company of Abbey Foods very originally started in 1820 with a butchery and slaughterhouse in Leighton Buzzard, WM Yirrell (still there in Old Road, Linslade). Fast forward 150 years, and in 1995 we created Abbey Cheese so now specialising in both cheese and meats. After Covid, we realised we had also started to source many other products , and continue to do so, being directed by our customers needs. We are a family company, and specialise in doing it right, first time, on time.
