This croissant is made with sourdough, which is allowed to rest for long periods to let the yeasts ferment slowly, intensifying the taste, aroma and creamy texture of each item.

The company of Abbey Foods very originally started in 1820 with a butchery and slaughterhouse in Leighton Buzzard, WM Yirrell (still there in Old Road, Linslade). Fast forward 150 years, and in 1995 we created Abbey Cheese so now specialising in both cheese and meats.
